HRM in Government sector in Sri Lanka
Introduction Human Resource Management (HRM) in the governmental sector of Sri Lanka is power as well sine qua non-responsible for performing an effective public service, which goes beyond any other formal or legislative process inherent to government institutions. Being the biggest employer in any country, the Sri Lankan Government also relies heavily on structured HR practices to ensure efficiency gains from well-motivated employees and to have a workforce that lines up with national development goals (Perera, 2018).
